What are the check-in and check-out times at KAI-YŪ?
Standard check-in begins at 14:00 and check-out is at 11:00. Early check-in or late check-out can often be accommodated upon request subject to availability. Our private luggage lounge and ocean showers are always at your disposal.
Can dietary requirements and private chef menus be customized?
Yes, absolutely. Our dedicated private executive chef caters to all dietary preferences including plant-based vegan, gluten-free, halal, keto, and traditional Ceylon Ayurvedic dosha-balancing menus with fresh daily market ingredients.
How do I arrange private airport transfers or seaplane flights?
Simply inform our reservations desk of your flight itinerary. We coordinate VIP meet-and-greet services and direct transfers via private Mercedes-Benz / Vellfire vehicles (2.5 hours from Colombo BIA) or scenic Cinnamon Air seaplane flights (45 minutes to Weligama lagoon).
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Reservations cancelled at least 14 days prior to scheduled arrival are fully refundable. For peak holiday periods (December 15 – January 15), a 30-day cancellation notice applies.
Is KAI-YŪ available for exclusive private buyouts and weddings?
Yes. The entire KAI-YŪ estate can be booked exclusively for private families, intimate celebrations, and weddings of up to 30 guests. Full private buyouts include all 3 suites, exclusive pool and garden access, and a dedicated culinary and butler team.
